Al Rakas is Awesome.

Just so you all know, this wedding would not be happening in its current state were it not for my dad. Dad,  there are no words to describe how grateful Jake and I are for everything you're doing for us. Thank you thank you thank you thank you.

Queen of Dresses

Just so you know, Laurel Rakas is the queen of dresses. For this wedding, she has made four junior bridesmaid dresses, four bridesmaid dresses, and one lovely and very-nearly complete wedding dress. I am so lucky to have such a skilled seamstress (who curses like a sailor whilst sewing) to make my special day even specialier.

Yesterday, Jake and I booked Harlan's BBQ to cater our wedding reception. We'll be having BBQ chicken, hand-carved roast beef, and several side dishes (yet to be determined). I know BBQ chicken isn't the fanciest thing in the world, but I think it'll be perfect. Think "summer bbq meets best wedding ever".

We've found a photographer!
