New Dress!

Our new flower girl/junior attendant dress looks like this:
It's a more mature pattern, and I think my flower ladies will look lovely in it.

A Change of Plans

The flower girl dress pattern (previously posted) will no longer be used. When envisioning Lilly and my cousins as members of my wedding party, I for some reason pictured four very lovely eight year olds. In reality, however, they're all a bit older and much more mature, and the dress I chose simply won't do.

My mom and I will be taking another trip to the fabric store this Friday. Stay tuned for a new pattern (and perhaps some fabric selections for the other dresses).

Dresses! Dresses! Dresses!

My lovely mother has agreed to make all the dresses for the wedding. After a fun day at the fabric shop, we selected these patterns for the bridal party:

Bridesmaid's Dresses (The shorter version, to be made with black fabric)

Flower Girl/Junior Attendant Dresses (Sleeveless, made with a white fabric with a possible tiffany-blue sash around the middle)

And finally, the wedding dress (NOT the pink one)

Hooray!

On August 14th, Jake asked me to marry him. After an intense spurt of crying/laughing/hyperventilating, I said yes!

The ring, in all its glory:

We're both very happy and excited!

Mark your calendars: the date we've chosen for our big day is Saturday July 17th, 2010. Our wedding will be at Prout Chapel (on the campus of BGSU) and our reception will be held in the banquet hall of Simpson Garden Park (also in BG).

Stay tuned for more wedding updates!
